Artificial & Silk Flower Care Guide
A Little Care, Lasting Beauty
Timeless beauty, with just a little care.

Our artificial flowers are designed to bring lasting beauty into your home. Unlike fresh flowers, they require no watering or daily maintenance, but a little gentle care will help preserve their natural appearance, vibrant colours and delicate details for years to come.
Follow these simple tips to keep your blooms looking their very best.

1. Gentle Dusting
Over time, dust can settle on petals and leaves, making your arrangement appear less vibrant.
-
Gently shake your flowers to remove any loose dust.
-
Use a soft microfiber cloth, feather duster or clean makeup brush to carefully dust the petals and leaves.
-
Work gently from the centre of each flower outwards, taking extra care with delicate petals.
-
For best results, lightly dust your arrangement every one to two weeks.
-

Regular dusting helps prevent build-up and reduces the need for deeper cleaning.

2. Cleaning Hard-to-Reach Areas
For intricate blooms or densely arranged flowers, a little cool air can work wonders.
-
Use a hairdryer on its coolest, lowest setting, keeping it approximately 30 cm away from the flowers.
-
Alternatively, use short, gentle bursts of compressed air to remove dust from between petals and leaves.
-
Avoid strong air pressure, which could loosen delicate petals or damage small details.
Never use hot air, as excessive heat may distort the petals or affect adhesives and protective coatings.

3. Protect from Direct Sunlight
Although artificial flowers don't need sunlight to thrive, prolonged exposure to direct sunlight can cause their colours to fade over time.
-
Display your arrangements away from strong, direct sunlight whenever possible.
-
Avoid placing them directly on sunny windowsills or close to intense heat sources.
-
Rotate your arrangements occasionally to help ensure more even light exposure.
Please note that rotating flowers will not prevent fading, so a shaded position is always the best choice for preserving their colour.

4. Deep Cleaning & Removing Marks
If your flowers need more than a light dusting, the safest cleaning method depends on their material.
Silk & Fabric Flowers
These delicate blooms are best cleaned using dry methods. Water can sometimes cause colours to bleed, leave watermarks or damage the texture of the petals.
For stubborn marks, use a slightly damp cloth only if the material is suitable, testing on a hidden area first.
Latex & Real-Touch Flowers
Many latex and real-touch flowers can be gently wiped with a soft, slightly damp microfiber cloth.
-
Carefully wipe each petal and leaf without rubbing or scrubbing.
-
Avoid soaking or submerging the flowers in water.
-
Allow them to air-dry completely before displaying.
Â
Because real-touch flowers can be made from different materials, always check the specific product's care instructions before using water.
Plastic Flowers & Foliage
Most smooth plastic leaves and flowers can be wiped clean with a damp cloth. If necessary, use a small amount of mild soap, provided the material and finish allow it.
Avoid bleach, harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners and alcohol-based products, as these may damage the surface or colour.

5. Restoring Shape & Fluffing Petals
Occasionally, artificial flowers may become slightly flattened or misshapen during packaging, transportation or storage.
To restore their natural beauty:
-
Gently separate and reshape petals using your fingers.
-
Carefully adjust flexible, wired stems and leaves to create a fuller, more natural appearance.
-
For suitable fabric flowers, gentle steaming may help relax creases and restore their shape.
Important: Steam should only be used on flowers confirmed to be heat-safe. Keep the steamer at a distance, avoid direct contact and test a discreet area first. Never apply steam to latex, foam or real-touch flowers unless specifically approved by the manufacturer.
Often, a little gentle hand-shaping is all your flowers need.
6. Keep Away from Heat & Moisture
Artificial flowers look their best when displayed in a cool, dry environment.
Avoid positioning them too close to radiators, fireplaces, heaters or other sources of excessive heat.
High humidity and prolonged moisture exposure can also affect certain fabrics, coatings, adhesives and internal wires.
We recommend keeping artificial arrangements away from bathrooms or other particularly humid areas unless the flowers are specifically designed for those conditions.

7. Storing Your Flowers
If you decide to change your arrangements seasonally, proper storage will help protect their shape and appearance.
-
Remove any dust before packing them away.
-
Ensure all flowers are completely dry.
-
Store in a clean, dry box or breathable protective covering.
-
Avoid overcrowding or placing heavy objects on top of delicate blooms.
-
Keep darker flowers separated from lighter ones where possible to prevent potential colour transfer.
-
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
When you're ready to display them again, gently fluff the petals and reshape the stems.

8. Handle with Care
Artificial flowers may look beautifully lifelike, but some petals, stems and decorative details are delicate.
Always handle your arrangement by its stronger stems or base rather than pulling on individual petals or flower heads.
If your arrangement contains wired stems, bend them slowly and carefully to avoid weakening or breaking the internal wire.

9. Do Artificial Flowers Need Water?
No watering is required!
We recommend keeping artificial flower stems out of water unless the product is specifically designed for it.
Prolonged exposure to water may cause internal wires to rust, adhesives to weaken or certain materials to deteriorate.
For arrangements displayed in clear vases, decorative stones or specially designed artificial water can create a beautiful, realistic finish without the need for real water.
A Little Love Goes a Long Way
With a little care and attention, your artificial flowers can continue to bring beauty, elegance and warmth to your space for years to come.

No watering. No wilting. Just lasting beauty.

Please note: Care requirements may vary depending on the materials and construction of each arrangement. When in doubt, always choose the gentlest cleaning method and avoid excessive heat, moisture or harsh cleaning products.
